Endow Kentucky + Bluegrass Greensource

Did you know that Bluegrass Greensource has an endowment fund at the Blue Grass Community Foundation?

Started in 2016 by a generous donation, Bluegrass Greensource’s endowment will grow and contribute to unrestricted resources that will provide a strong base of support for our future work. Growing our endowment comes from the smart investing of the Blue Grass Community Foundation as well as contributions from friends and supporters.

You can support sustainability and take advantage of significant tax benefits when contributing to our endowed fund at the Blue Grass Community Foundation.

Individuals and businesses that pay taxes in Kentucky can receive a credit of up to 20 percent of the amount gifted (with a maximum $50,000 gift) to endowed funds. Tax credits totaling $1 million will become available on July 1. These tax credits are often gone in a matter of weeks, so now is the time to start planning.

Donations of all types of assets can be accepted for Endow Kentucky Tax Credit. This includes: cash (including donations via credit card), stocks, mutual funds, tangible property, donations of life insurance, and donors 70 ½ and older can rollover required minimum distributions from qualifying IRAs. This is a tax credit, not a deduction. A tax credit reduces your Kentucky state tax liability dollar-for-dollar, regardless of your ability to itemize or your tax bracket.
