Green Living Labs are a Saturday workshop series at Bluegrass Greensource, where staff present short, engaging workshops to help you build new skills and to live more sustainably. They cover a variety of topics, from gardening to green cleaners at home. Sometimes we bring in the experts, such as our friends from Seedleaf, to lead workshops in their fields. Whatever the topic, we design the labs to match your interests. Green Living Lab offers something for everyone!

Join us to learn the basics of sewing and binding books that can be used as journals or given as gifts. We will make a (8.5” by 5.5”) hardcover or softcover books from mostly recycled materials, such as cereal boxes and other clean food containers. This class is appropriate for kids 12+ and adults. The cost of this workshops is only $35 and includes instruction and materials. Register here!

Join us for our first fall workshop to celebrate green living. We’ll make herb jelly from locally grown plants and produce. You can eat herb jelly on toast or on sandwiches, and it is good as a topping for ice cream or as a glaze for cooking meats. These jarred jellies make great gifts, too! All the supplies for this workshop are provided, and the cost is only $25. Register here!
