SUMMARY:Astronomy Between The Trees
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary for Astronomy Between the Trees\, an evening program that combines a twilight hike with an exploration of the night sky. Participants will begin with a guided hike through the sanctuary as daylight fades\, learning about trees\, wildlife\, and the changing forest around them. \nAs darkness settles in\, we’ll turn our attention upward for an introduction to astronomy with the Bluegrass Amateur Astronomy Club.  Participants will learn about the night sky\, identify visible stars and constellations\, and explore how trees\, wildlife\, and people are connected to the rhythms of the night. \nThis family-friendly program offers a unique opportunity to experience Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary after dark while connecting the forest below with the stars above. Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking on natural trails.
