Join Our Volunteer Team!

Bluegrass Greensource is always grateful for help distributing outreach materials, staffing community booths, and designing or translating informational displays. People ready and willing to get their hands dirty at reforestation events, community cleanups, and water quality testing are also appreciated. Whatever you want to do, we will find a way for you to get involved!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

GreenFest | June 4, 2022 | 15 Volunteers Needed

  • GreenFest volunteers will be performing a number of tasks, including helping with registration, building/breaking down tables and tents for the event, and moderating our workshops, amongst other things.

GreenFest is the one-stop shop to learn about and celebrate sustainable living in the Bluegrass! Learn from local experts during workshops, shop and support eco-friendly vendors, enjoy lunch from local food trucks, connect with community resources at educational booths with information about environmental opportunities, and learn about the sustainable features of The Living Arts and Science Center. Learn more!

How Can I Get Involved?

BG Green Team

BG Green Team is an opportunity to get involved with your community while still having the flexibility your schedule allows. There is no job too small and no amount of time too little to help out! From smaller jobs like helping stuff workshop bags for our education team, to assisting with our variety of events throughout the year, we have many opportunities for you to help where you can and on your time! There are volunteer opportunities year round in our Lexington office and on-site throughout our 20 county service region in Central Kentucky. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jadyn for more info!

Green Force

Green Force is more than a senior volunteer training program. It is an opportunity for you to be trained on important environmental issues, be a team lead for stream clean-ups and storm-drain stenciling events, collaborate with our education and outreach staff, work directly with BGGS staff at our annual events, and implement your own ideas for making a big impact on our communities. If you are looking for a more involved, leadership-driven volunteering experience, stay tuned for upcoming Green Force training sessions this summer! If you have any questions, please reach out to Jadyn for more info!
