Green Living Labs are a Saturday workshop series at Bluegrass Greensource, where staff present short, engaging workshops to help you build new skills and to live more sustainably. They cover a variety of topics, from gardening to green cleaners at home. Sometimes we bring in the experts, such as our friends from Seedleaf, to lead workshops in their fields. Whatever the topic, we design the labs to match your interests. Green Living Lab offers something for everyone!

Sip and Salvage: Sustainable Self-Care with CBD

February 27th, 6-8pm

1400 Delaware Ave, Lexington

The season of love is almost upon us, so bring your partner, your friends, or just yourself and come learn a few self-love tricks from our friends over at E.C.Organics! They’ll be taking over to teach you about relaxation and other potential benefits of using CBD oil in your self-care routine. Come by and you’ll get to make a personal care product with your very own oil ($33 value!), you’ll relax with a short massage and a latte (both with CBD oil, of course!), and because this is a sip and salvage, your first beer is on us (if you’re 21+)! We’re going all out for this workshop–you do NOT want to miss this!

The workshop is $60 to attend and includes one beer, a CBD latte, a CBD-infused bath product, and a 420 mg bottle of CBD oil (what is leftover after making the bath product). Duos can save $10 on each ticket by selecting “SPREADTHELOVE” at checkout (2 for $100).

Wormshop with Seedleaf

March 16th, 10-12pm

Bluegrass Greensource, 835 National Ave., Lexington

Bluegrass Greensource is teaming up with Seedleaf to teach you all about the ins and outs of vermicomposting from home. Join us for an interactive discussion on home scale composting with worms. Participants will build and take home a worm bin and all the live worms needed to get underway.

All skill levels are welcome, and children over age 4 tend to do great (with supervision from their guardians.)

This workshop is $25 to attend, and $20 for Resource Society members. If you would like to audit the workshop (and not leave with a worm bin), you can do that, free of charge.

Stay tuned for more events!
