Main Street Clean Sweep 2026

Bluegrass Greensource is proud to announce the 13th Annual Main Street Clean Sweep, presented by the NiSource Charitable Foundation and Columbia Gas, a region-wide volunteer initiative. During Earth Week, 20 communities across Central Kentucky will come together to remove litter from streets, parks, neighborhoods, and waterways—demonstrating the power of collective local action.

Since its inception, Main Street Clean Sweep has grown into one of the region’s largest coordinated volunteer efforts. Over the past twelve years, more than 150 community cleanups have been organized, resulting in over 150,000 pounds of litter removed from the environment. What began as an Earth Day effort has evolved into a regional movement that strengthens community pride while protecting natural resources.
